Swimming with the horses in the Caribbean

Never one to miss the sampling of local equine culture, we decide to go riding while on holiday in the Caribbean.

Despite the notice in the hotel in Antiqua saying that water was very scarce, it proceeded to rain solidly for two weeks ... and no, it was not monsoon season!

We found a stables called Spring Hill Riding Club and arranged to go for a hack. I have to say, I was rather taken by the cute coloured pony, but he was a bit small for me!

It was a shame about the weather, I mean really one expect better from the Caribbean. However, the horses were well behaved and the views were still stunning.

Of course with water so close, we could not turn down the opportunity to go swimming in the sea with the horses. I kept getting the distinct feeling my horse was cheating ...

We had the opportunity to have a jumping lesson, but with it being so hot and having to have the lesson so early I decided bed was more important!
